Introducing Patch Notes, a new monthly blog series to help you keep up with the latest product launches, updates, and improvements on Fourthwall. Keep reading to learn how we improved our platform for creators and their communities this month.
IMPROVEMENTS TO TWITCH GIFTING
Choose how extra shipping costs are covered
Twitch Gifting is an amazing way to build hype and show love within your community. Now creators have more control over how any additional shipping costs above the average paid for by the gifter at the time of purchase are covered. In the Twitch Gifting app settings page, you can choose whether these costs are covered:
- By the gift recipient
- By you
- By you, but only up to a certain amount, with any remainder covered by the recipient
Redo giveaways
You can now easily identify and choose to redo giveaways on gifts that a) do not have a winner or b) have a winner, but have not been redeemed.
- Only unredeemed gifts or gifts without a winner can be selected for redo.
- Redo is only active when you are live and the FourthwallHQ bot is connected and can run the giveaway in chat.
- If an unredeemed gift is selected for a redo, the original winner will no longer be able to redeem the gift.
- When the gift is redeemed, you will notice the negative profit hit your balance – don’t be alarmed, this is just a delayed adjustment from the profit earned at the time of the gift purchase.
NEW FEATURES
Multiple image posts on Memberships
Create galleries of up to 50 images in a single post
Second level navigation (nested menus)
Creators can now create nested menus that make it easier for supporters to navigate your site. From your dashboard, head to Design & layout → Pages & navigation → “Add page or link”. Drag and drop links to nest them under a parent tab.
Duplicate, rename & delete theme
Creators can now duplicate themes, rename to distinguish between versions, and delete unused themes. Update your theme to the latest version to access this feature.
View all available print technique options in one listing
You can now view all available options for print techniques (DTG, DTFx, Embroidery, etc) when viewing a single product in the Fourthwall Catalog (vs separate listings for each technique).
Pinned Comments in Memberships
Creators can now pin one message per post in their members-only area.
FEATURE IMPROVEMENTS
Redesigned Theme Selection
Creators now have more options to manage their themes. Select “Options” under a theme to select from the following actions: Set as active theme, Duplicate, Rename, Reset to default, and Delete. You can also view the status of live/inactive themes and be notified when a theme update is available.
BUG FIXES
Product Designer embroidery performance and compatibility update
Improved browser support for embroidery with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Edge
General performance improvements
Enabled additional compressing of HTML to produce a significant boost for page load times and data usage (especially for mobile)
